MASHA / BLOGGER

WHY MASHA LOVES VEE.

VEE: Please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about where you come from and what brings you to Berlin?

MASHA: Hi, I’m Masha and I’m a Fashion Blogger, since almost 9 years now. I came to Berlin about 6 years ago because it’s the only city in Germany that offers you lots of opportunities, especially in fashion, and gives you the freedom of creativity. When you have found yourself in Berlin, you can be yourself.

VEE: Why do you love Berlin and what are your favourite places to visit?

MASHA: Berlin is a metropolitan city with almost 4 million people living here and many tourists visiting every day. At the same time, it often has the charm of a small village. Berlin embodies this multifaceted atmosphere, as it is divided into many districts, one completely different from the next. Most areas offer everything you need for your daily life. That’s why many people don’t leave their district very often, but instead are very familiar with their own neighborhood. Personally, I love to walk to my favorite coffee place, talk to the owner behind the bar, say hello to the shop owners across the street or ask my neighbors about the new restaurant opening next to our building. My district is close to the Rosenthaler Platz, which is where I live and work, get my coffee at Superfoods, eat my favorite avocado toast for breakfast at the Commonground coffee shop, work with my team in the St. Oberholz building, get some healthy lunch at Hermann’s restaurant, buy some nice gifts at the Schee store and have some drinks in the 100 gram bar… and every single place feels like home.

Nevertheless, I also love exploring new spots in Berlin. I recently discovered the beautiful botanical garden in Berlin Dahlem. It’s one of the oldest in the world, and definitely worth a visit.

VEE: Favourite cafes, bars and secret party spots?

MASHA: There is nothing better than the outdoor festivals and parties in Berlin, for example the “Festival of the Cultures” or the Else Location. I’d recommend everyone to skip winter and enjoy the Berlin summer to the fullest – especially if you love to dance during the day on the weekends.

"THE VEE TOTE COMPLETES EVERY OUTFIT PERFECTLY. IT'S CLASSY AND SPORTY AT THE SAME TIME."

VEE: Where do you get your inspiration from?

MASHA: I get lots of inspiration through social media, such as Pinterest, and keep my eyes open for new blogs and accounts every day. However, my biggest inspiration comes from conversations with people. You know…real talk.

VEE: Whats in your Vee Tote bag?

MASHA: Usually I wear my Vee Tote when I travel, I always have my laptop with me. And of course, some food and my camera. My full working equipment is very heavy, so a light bag, that is spacious and protects my equipment, is essential.

VEE: What essential do you carry with you everyday?

MASHA: Phone, Charger, Cardholder, Keys, Lipstick (I never leave the house without a lipstick)

VEE: Favourite Vee Tote Colour? What do you associate with this colour?

MASHA: I love the classic matte black, but also the dark green. They complete every outfit perfectly and are classy, but sporty at the same time. I’m not really a color person and usually always gravitate towards neutrals.

VEE: Working with VeeCollective – what do you love about it?

MASHA: The people behind VeeCollective. For me, it feels like being a part of a family and because I’ve been with Vee since the very beginning, it’s amazing to watch it growing from day to day.

VEE: Being a Blogger, how would you describe your everyday life?

MASHA: Busy. A big part of my job is to travel and to shoot. That’s why it feels like I’m always on the road and somehow work in between - there is nothing like a typical everyday life.

VEE: What is a fashion trend that you wish would come back?

MASHA: Basic white sneakers. When did sneakers become so ugly?

VEE: You created a Podcast called "Matchalatte". Where did you get the idea from and what topics are you discussing?

MASHA: I’m a big Podcast lover, so that’s why I thought it could be fun to create my own. I asked a friend if she would want to be a part of this project and so since two years you can listen to us talking about private, but also business related topics. In the podcast we are not influencers, but just two friends, talking about everything that comes to our minds.
